The Signs of Change Conference 2010 is designed to be a 'sign of change' itself.  The conference will run across 5 main centres, using e-conference technology.  Information about each venue is provided below.



University of Canterbury

Venue: Cenetral 1 (lecture theatre)

The University's Ilam campus is located between Ilam Road and Clyde Road, in the suburb of Ilam, as shown on the campus map.  For information about mobility access, see the mobility access map.

For bus transport, see Metro bus information.  For information about best cycle routes, see the City Council's cycling information.

Car parking is available on campus, on a pay-and-display basis.  See the campus map for parking areas. Alternatively, it is possible to park on surrounding streets, such as Waimairi Road, and walk  to the campus. 

Monday dinner - Christchurch delegates are invited to join Susan and the Christchurch team for dinner and discussion at a local restaurant.  Arrangements will be made at Monday lunch.  Dinner is on an own-cost basis.

Tuesday breakfast workshop will be held at Cafe 101, adjacent to Central 1 lecture block (the conference venue), from 7.45am.  Breakfast in on an own-cost basis.  Discussion will be vibrant!



AUT - Auckland University of Technology

AUT is located opposite Albert Park, on Wellesley St East, in central Auckland.  THe main entry gate to the campus is off Wellesley St East, where there is also a pedestrian bridge from Albert Park.

There is no car parking available at AUT. The visitor car park shown on the map is not available to those attending the conference.  There are plenty of buses and there are public car parking buildings within walking distance. The Auckland City website has information about buses and public car parking.  



University of Otago

Venue: Commerce 2.22

The Commerce Building is located on Union St East.  It is numbered 27 on the campus map.  Enter the Commerce Building from Union St East.  Room 2.22 is down the internal stairs to the left.

Car parking should be available on Clyde St, Forth St, and Harbour Terrace.  There is a bus service to the campus.



Royal Society of New Zealand

Venue: Video-conference room, Royal Society of New Zealand, 4 Halswell St, Thorndon, Wellington.

Palmerston North

Massey University

Venue: Riddet Building R12, room 2.07.

This venue is on Massey University's Manawatu campus (Turitea).  It is located on Tennant Drive, across the river from Palmerston North city.  See the campus map for location of Riddet Building. 

Transport: There is a bus service to the Turitea campus.  Weekday user pays, casual car parking is available at Turitea on Orchard Road near the Recreation Centre and on Bourke Road on the upper terrace by the Massey Child Care Centre. Also, some metered parking is available around University Avenue and the Commercial Complex carpark at Turitea.  For more information visit, see Massey University's website.
